Avicii changed the face of electronic music when he released worldwide sensation Levels last year. The Swedish DJ’s clubbing anthem never fails to rock dance floors and, since its release, Avicii-mania has swept over many of the fans following the electronic dance music (EDM) scene.
The chart topper is now back with his first official follow up single to Levels, and his latest track is sure to conduct similar choruses of bouncing to that of his biggest tune to date.
Silhouettes features shadowy vocals from Salem Al Fakir for much of the song, and sees a rhythmically bouncing beat progress towards a glorious breakdown that will likely act as many people’s summer anthem.
The breakdown is not as hard hitting as Levels or Fade into Darkness but the synths provide a brilliant, easy-to-listen-to melody that will allow this track to join its predecessor as a piece of music adored by millions.
