Single review: Maroon Five ft. Wiz Khalifa – Payphone

When not moving like Jagger, singer songwriter Adam Levine is tackling bank robbers and evading a whole squadron of police cruisers and helicopters just to make a phone call in the middle of nowhere – in the video for Maroon Five’s latest single Payphone.

The track, taken from their forthcoming album Overexposed, is much like other work that you come to expect from the American pop rock band. A fairly decent radio friendly tune, with an infectious chorus, while overall not being that remarkable and special.

Rapper Wiz Khalifa features on the track; however, his presence is completely unnecessary. He fails to light up the track and is just a waste.

Overall, Payphone is a pretty decent track from Maroon Five. While nothing special, it’s sure to dominate the airwaves over the summer
